Scottsdale’s Museum of the West: Canvas of Clay

Project Overview

CK Valenti Designs was honored to be asked to create the displays for the Canvas of Clay: Hopi Pottery Masterworks from The Allan and Judith Cooke Collection at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. The exhibition celebrates the incredible ceramics work of the Hopi people, whose tribal land lies in northern Arizona.

Although the 65 pieces on display only represent about half of the collection from the donor and his late wife, twenty-two other master potters are also represented in the unique exhibition.

CK Valenti Designs created distinctive displays that showcase the indelible style and incredible workmanship of the Hopi and the exhibit has even been named one of “11 Must-See Fall Exhibits at U.S. Museums” by USA TODAY.
