Austin Closet & Cabinet Expo 2012

Hey Ya’ll!
We were in Austin for 3 days this month for the 2012 Closet and Cabinet Conference, and we heard a lot of “ya’ll”.  And people say I have an accent! The Austin community was very friendly and we had a great time on our first trip to the Texas state capitol. The BBQ at the Salt Lick was some of the best we’ve ever tasted. We’ll be making future trips to Austin, for sure.

Back to the conference…we like to attend these if time and budget permits because they are great opportunities for learning a thing or two, not to mention the networking and talking with other business owners. We met up with members from the Cabinet Makers Association, a group to which we belong, and attended seminars facilitated by CMA members. All in all, time well spent.

Besides the seminars, this conference included an expo where closet and cabinet materials manufacturers set up booths to display their latest and greatest products. Two of our favorites were:

Mockett (where Kate fell in love with this drawer pull).

and and Rev-a-shelf. Check out this great mirror from Rev-a-Shelf – it installs in only three inches of space!
